These three easy steps only work if you are a Christian.
To become one,
give up everything and everyone and follow Christ alone,
from this moment forward.
It is written,
“If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.”
There you have it!
Words.
To be perfect, don’t stumble in words.
Here are the three easy steps.
1. As much as you possibly can, keep your mouth shut!
(You can’t stumble in words if you aren’t saying anything at all!)
2. If you must speak, say as few words as humanly possible.
Proverbs 10:19 gloriously sums up these two steps:
When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise.
3. When you must speak, never complain or argue. (Speak positively and agreeably.)
As it is also written,
“Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you might become blameless and innocent, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15
Practice silence.
Speak briefly.
Speak positively and agreeably.
Try it!
See if you feel perfect!
See if any sane person can say anything against you!
