How to resist the AntiChrist

If you haven't accepted Christ, you've already accepted the Antichrist.  But you can reject the Antichrist, right here, right now.  This is how.  Choose to live for one purpose alone:  Worship God alone.  Refuse to live for anything else or anyone else.

Some of you may be unconvinced.
You may wonder how not accepting Christ equals accepting the Antichrist.

This is how.

Once you know who Christ is and what He did, if you don't accept Him, then you in fact reject Him; you choose to accept yourself as your own savior, and the Antichrist will agree with you.  He will teach you to live by your own light instead of by The Light of the World.  He will encourage you to embrace your own truth, your own enlightenment.  He will then bring you to his spirit guide, whom he will call "the spirit guide of all spirit guides."  His name is the Light bearer, Lucifer, the son of the dawn, Satan, the first demon.  And because you've rejected the true light, you will embrace the false light, the absence of true light and all light, the prince of darkness.

But it doesn't have to be like this.

You can choose or refuse Christ freely.
It's up to you.
Choose Christ.

How to have an epiphany today (Discovering the meaning of your life) Part 2

"What's the point?  Why do I even bother to turn off my alarm clock?  Who would care if I took this bottle of sleeping pills and peacefully died in my sleep?" Jenny moved her red hair from covering her wet barely opened eyes.  She felt so tired she couldn't sleep.  Then she heard it.  She heard the soft crying of her three and half month old girl, Denise.  Using what little energy she had in her small body, she went to Denise's room, preparing for their routine.  Jenny goes in. She comes to the crib and softly says, "It's ok sweet Denny.  It's mommy."  She either covers her daughter's cold body, or uncovers Denise's hot body, or feeds Denise's hungry body.  Denise stops crying and eventually falls asleep, closing her little dazed blue eyes.  Jenny caresses her daughter's fuzzy red hair and goes back to bed.  This is how it went throughout the night for the past three and a half months.

But not tonight.

Jenny goes in, as usual.  She softly says, "It's ok, sweet Denny.  It's mommy."  But after her usual word ritual, Jenny's sleepy eyes fully awaken and her mouth opens.  Her tears of hopelessness turn to tears of deep loving understanding--Denise looks intently into her mother's eyes, and smiles.  It is a smile of deep recognition and affection, of pure comfort and joy.  Jenny knew it, though she couldn't prove it:  Denise finally knew her mother.  Not just her comforter from hunger or sweat or the shiver.  Denny knew her mother.

This was Jenny's answer:

"What's the point?  Why do I even bother to turn off my alarm clock?  Who would care if I took this bottle of sleeping pills and peacefully died in my sleep?"

This was Jenny's answer:

"My relationship to my daughter is the point.  Denny is why I should even bother to turn off my alarm clock.  She would care if I took this bottle of sleeping pills and peacefully died in my sleep."

How to have an epiphany today (Discovering the meaning of your life) Part 3

You read Jenny's epiphany, but not the whole story...not the whole epiphany.  Jenny continued to think about the answer to her deepest questions while she fed her dear daughter, looking into her eyes.

In Denise's gaze of affection and recognition, Jenny felt a realization of the deep connection she has with her father and mother.  To them, Jenny also matters.  But why does Jenny matter to her father and mother?  Jenny knew through Denny that a mother simply enjoys her daughter for being alive.  The purpose of their relationship is, in fact, the relationship.  A father and mother love watching their daughter be herself.  Daughters love getting know their fathers and mothers.  And so it goes...from son and daughter to father and mother to grandfather and grandmother to great-grandfather and great- grand mother.  "But just how far does this love go?" Jenny wondered.

"Where does this simple love between parents and children come from?  When a man and woman make love, where does that love come from, a love so blissful it creates another life from the husband and wife?  Where does this love come from?  It must go farther than great-grandfathers and great-grand mothers, farther than the very first father and the very first mother....it must come from their Creator!"

Jenny saw it.
Jenny knew it.
Jenny understood it.

The look of deep affection and adoration must have first been experienced between Creator and creation, between Creator and creature, between God the Father, Adam the first son, and Eve the first daughter.  Jenny realized she wanted to know what everyone wants to know:

What is the meaning of all of our lives?

She now knew the answer.

It is the creature recognizing her Creator as Denny had recognized her mother.

When we see The One who has been warming us, cooling us, and feeding us from the beginning, and when He sees us seeing Him and knowing Him, we experience the reason for our creation:  To intimately know our Creator.  This is the answer to the desperate question of our existence.  By asking the desperate question, we end up seeking and knocking without knowing what we are doing.

When we can no longer live without the answer to the supreme question, we will have an epiphany.

How to have an epiphany today (Discover the meaning of your life)

To change your life, change your mind.  See in such a new way that it changes how you think, speak, and act from that moment on.  Have a sudden answer to your two most crucial life questions:
  1. What is the real purpose of your life in this world?
  2. What real difference do you make by simply being alive?
These two questions can't go unanswered for you.  If they do, why should you bother doing anything at all?  If your absence makes no difference, if your presence possesses no significance, if no one notices when you are not around, then how can you really and truly be happy?

Experience an epiphany. Do these three things.

  1. Ask.
  2. Seek.
  3. Knock.

Jesus, the light of the world, the light and life of every man and woman, gives these three keys to experiencing a revelation, an epiphany. This is the promise of Jesus, the son of God:

Ask, and it will be given to you.  Seek, and you will find.  Knock, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives.  Everyone who seeks finds.  Everyone who knocks, the door is opened.

What is your most crucial life question?
  • Ask it.
  • Now seek with everything in you to find the answer.  The question has to be a matter of life and death for you, something you really want to know, an answer you feel you can't live without.  If it is answered, your life matters.  If it goes unanswered, you might as well have never been born.
  • Try to open every door to every possible answer to this question.  Try to answer the question yourself to the very best of your ability at every given opportunity.
In this process of asking, seeking, and knocking, you will experience a sudden answer to the question.  A revelation.  An epiphany.  Give God the glory.  You know the answer didn't come from you, because when you tried your best to answer the question, you couldn't.

Tell me about your epiphany.
I look forward to hearing from you.

How to know you are following God's Spirit

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17

The preacher hit me in the stomach. "Yield to the Spirit of JESUS!" she yelled.  "Yield.  YIELD."  I tried to keep from falling, but couldn't regain my balance.  I lay on the ground, supposedly "slain in the Spirit."  I threw up.  "It's the devil coming out of you!  Let him out!  Let him out!!"  I got up and ran to the bathroom to clean the vomit from my bright red face.

"God, why are you letting this happen?"
"Ben, why are you letting this happen?" the Spirit responded.

The truth hit me harder than the preacher's punch in the stomach.

How free are you?
How free are people when they are with you?
  • If you and they are free--truly free--then the Spirit is leading you.
  • If you or they are passive in mind or will, then you are following the devil, directly or indirectly.

Choose liberty.  Refuse slavery.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.  Stand firm then, and do not let yourself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."  Galatians 5:1
