Rick’s journey: Lessons of Manhood From "The Walking Dead" (Introduction)

Are you one of those Walking Dead watcher’s who always has a problem with Rick? You know what I mean. If Rick stays in the camp, you think he should’ve been out hunting zombies and getting supplies. If he’s out of the camp, you think he should’ve stayed. If he’s cautious about a new comer, you and the late Herschel thought he needed to be more trusting. But if he welcomes a new comer and that new comer tries to destroy the camp, you and Carl blame Rick for letting the new comer in.

Why do you give Rick such a hard time? The man just can’t do right by you, no matter what!

Why is Rick’s journey dishonored?

I'm Olatunde, which means “honor comes again.”
By my name people, honor will come again to men like Rick!

We're going to walk with Rick through his journey so far as I see it in four phases:
  1. The Sheriff.
  2. The Ricktator.
  3. The Farmer.
  4. The Man.
