Jesus said to Pilate, "For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. All who are of the truth hear my voice." "What is truth?" Pilate responds.
It's popular these days to hear the words "your truth."
"That's 'your truth.'"
"Speak 'your truth'."
"Live 'your truth'."
But as Pilate asked Jesus, what is truth, yours or anyone else's? And is "your truth" the truth Jesus was born to bear witness to? Not from his words to Pilate. Jesus said he came to bear witness to the truth, not your truth, not my truth.
Again, as Pilate asked, "What is truth?"
Pilate's question is his answer and ours. To ask a question assumes meaning. It assume a hearer and a speaker, and a common understanding between the two. That common understanding, that common assumption, is the truth. The reality. Speech betrays us. We can't hide behind our words. When we open our mouths, we expose what we all know: The truth.

How to Change The World by Changing Your World (Part 1)
The way we see the world can change the world. Chuck Colson.
(Below is a fictional account of a man who lives in his imagination.)
I'm Noar. In my mind I am God. My imagination is my creation, and you are my creature, subject to me and my will. You are who I say you are, and you respond to me according to my fantasy. My slave. My servant. Mine. The world is mine in my mind. Men fear me. Women revere me. It’s all about me. I am the origin and destination in my imagination. But it’s ok. If you do what I say, you’ll be happy. My world is a world of ecstasy. Don’t you want to be happy? Then make me happy, and you’ll be happy in my fantasy. Say what I imagine you to say and do what I imagine you to do. I have a good imagination. I get a sense of what you would say and do in certain situations in my imagination. My intuition gives revelations of who you are and what you are. I want you to be happy in my fantasy. So be who I see you to be to me and we’ll be happy, if I’m happy. So how do you make me happy? Simply. If you’re a man, fear me. If you’re a woman, revere me. Live for me in my fantasy. It’s easy. See my reality. See the world I see. (Click HERE for part 2.)

How to hear the voice of Jesus
Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." John 18:37 NASB
You can hear the voice of Jesus, if you want to.
Do you want to?
If you want to hear the voice of Jesus, meet two conditions, summed up in one sentence:
Seek the truth.
When you decide to seek the truth, meet two conditions:
1. Seek the truth impartially.
2. Seek the truth reverently.
If you do these two things, you will hear and know the voice of Jesus.
SEEK THE TRUTH IMPARTIALLY.
Do you want to know the truth, no matter what it is, no matter what the consequences? Do you want to know the truth even if it means you must change your beliefs and your entire life? Put it this way. I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for my sins, and that He rose from the dead. But if my beliefs were proven false beyond all doubt, I would change my beliefs. Again, if someone disproved beyond all doubt the incarnation and resurrection of Jesus, then I would change my beliefs and life. What about you? If you are an atheist, and you had a supernatural experience with Jesus that disproved your naturalistic, scientific, atheistic beliefs, would you change your beliefs and life? This is the only way to find and know the truth, and in doing so find the voice of Jesus. But you must supremely respect the voice you seek. You must revere what you are about to hear.
SEEK THE TRUTH REVERENTLY
Pilate asked Jesus if He were a King. Jesus agreed that He was (and is) a king, The King. The Voice of the King should not be taken lightly or disrespectfully. What you seek is not for your entertainment, but is the voice that holds your atoms together. The voice of Jesus is The Reality that holds together every reality and personality. To take his voice lightly is to take your life lightly. The truth deserves our fullest attention and respect. If we don't give it these, we don't really want the truth. And we will get what we want: a life built on lies and deceptions. The choice is ours.
Seek the truth impartially and reverently.
In doing so you will hear the voice of Jesus.
