Something you may not know about God (that you need to know!) PART 2

It humbles us because we see that IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT ME! God is really ok without us! He’s been ok from eternity past! The Son and the Spirit are infinitely wonderful company. Yet God is love, and He passionately, intensely, and infinitely loves us. Not because He needs us or can’t live without us. But because He made us. He poured His heart into us, giving us His very Breath, His very Spirit. He loves us because those of us who believe are His children, and those of us who don’t are His creation in rebellion, His art against The Artist. We can have as much of Him as we want, which encourages AND convicts us. Why? Because the state of your relationship to God is by definition YOUR FAULT! God is perfectly good, perfectly powerful, and perfectly wise. PERFECT. So He CAN’T be wrong! It CAN’T be His fault if you and He aren’t close. You are as close to God as YOU want to be. If you feel far from Him, it’s because you stay far from Him. But this can change right now, if you want it to. GOD RESPONDS TO YOU. YOU CAN BE AS CLOSE TO GOD AS YOU WANT TO BE.
