How To Know When God's Judgment Will Come in Your Life

The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out defiantly in full view of all the Egyptians, who were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment on their gods.  Numbers 33:3-4

If you see these two things in your life, know that God's judgment is at hand:

1.  You aren't a child of God, and God's child is following His Spirit in your full view, but you are a following something or someone else in the same way the God's child is following the Spirit.

2.  You are God's child, and you are following something or someone else in the same way you should be following God's Spirit.

If either of these are true, God's judgment is coming to you.

God will bring judgement on your gods,
on whomever or whatever you are giving your life to
in the way you should be giving your life to God.

In fact, I would say that it is a kind of passion for the one true God to do so.

Throughout scripture, the only True God chose a person or a people to make Himself known to; a person or people to set apart.  Having chosen them, He manifests Himself to them and through them to those who are not yet His own, to those who worship false gods.  Having seen and known the only true God through His relationship with His chosen people, the idol worshipers now have a choice:

  • Continue to worship false gods, knowingly, willingly, intentionally, and defiantly.
  • Stop worshiping false gods and worship the only true God.

There is no "excuse."  Not that there ever was.  If I take a piece of wood and make a lion out of it , then worship it, I know what I'm doing.  The heavens have already declared to me the glory of God while I was making my little lion god.

But if while the heavens (and my conscience) declared the true God to me, I see the children of God being led by the real and only God, I have less of an excuse than I tried to have before.

The very presence of the Only True God brings judgment on our false gods.

  • You have known the Only True God through creation and conscience.
  • And you very well may be seeing God at work in a person or in His people.
  • You may have heard the good news about His Son, and the proclamation of God inspired words:  The Holy Scriptures.

The only true God, one way or another, has, is, and will continue to make Himself known to you.

Get rid of false gods, of anything or anyone that you follow as you should be following God alone.

If you don't do this, one way or another, God will expose and judge these false gods in your life.

It is His passion to do so.
