Landon's decision (Part 1)

 (From Google Images.)

God imagines Landon.
He sees him, knows him, and loves him infinitely.
Landon’s purpose is simple:
Intimacy with God--
Share God with those in his path as God shares Himself with Landon.

It is as God imagines.
Landon lives.
Landon grows.

The day comes for Landon that comes for every man and woman:  The Day of Decision.

On this day, Landon is sleeping.  He dreams.  He sees a beautiful girl, more beautiful than any thing he knows in creation.  He wants one thing:  Her.  God gives her to Landon.  Landon has want he wants, and she is better than he wants.  But Landon is unhappy, and he is not sure why.  He looks in the girl’s eyes.  (Her name is Melissa.)  He sees the mother of his children; but still this leaves him unhappy.

The Wind blows through his open window, and on The Wind is a voice.

"Landon, what do you really want?”
“I don’t know.  I thought I knew.”
“Don’t you like the girl I’m giving you?”
“I do. She is like heaven on earth.  But in a way, she’s not at all like eternal life.”
“Then what do you want Landon?”
“Whatever it is, I hear it in your voice.”
“I am The One who imagined you.”

Then Landon knew.
He wants His Maker.
To be One with his Creator.

But Landon also feels free, freer than ever.
He is feeling two freedoms:

  • The first is like riding his bike as fast as he can down a very steep hill.
  • The second is the softness of Melissa’s hand in his.

Landon makes a decision.
