The ONLY WORK YOU Should Be Doing For God (Part 2)

BE SPIRIT FILLED
Bezalel was chosen and Spirit filled.  Every work of God for those who are chosen of God must be Spirit empowered.  Jesus Himself couldn't minister before the Spirit came upon Him after His baptism.  He told His followers to wait in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high.

If the Son of God couldn't minister without the Spirit, and if those who had been with Him for three years had to wait for the Spirit's power, surely we dare not do anything in Jesus' name without absolute certainty that we do it in the power of the Spirit.  But how often do we just press on, without being chosen, without the Spirit's filling?

USE GOD GIVEN SKILLS
Not only was Bezalel chosen and Spirit filled, but he was also filled with skill, ability, and knowledge.  He was good at something, which we'll find out later.  He not only was talented, but he knew what he was doing.  How often do we offer sorry work to God, as though God's grace means we do what He never gave us the grace to do?  God made this point in the book of Malachi when people gave Him sorry offerings, making it clear they wouldn't do that with human governors.  We know what God means.

If you try to get a job on earth, what are the conditions?  The same as God's, really!  You must be chosen out of all the job applications, there must be something about you that stands out from the rest (being Spirit filled?).  You have to have skill, ability, and knowledge that stands out.

The difference is this:  God gives you all of these things freely for the work He called you to do.  You don't have to be one of hundreds of people applying for God's jobs.  He specifically chooses you, and only you, by your name, fills you with His Spirit, and freely gives you the skills, ability, and knowledge to do your God given tasks.
